This book collects lecture notes elaborated for the Transportation Law course held by the author during the academic years 2017/2018, 2018/2019, 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 within the Degree Course in European Studies (LM-90) provided in English, at the Faculty of Law, Sapienza University of Rome. The course included 48 hours lectures in each academic year. The lecture notes together with bibliographic materials and relevant regulations were distributed to the students as study material. The structure and content of the book reflect a significant part of these lecture notes.
The specific aim of this book is to offer a concise and reader-friendly account of the Transportation Law subject-matters examined during the course according to European and International legal sources.
The book also provides for each subject-matter some of the most significant case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union and decisions of the European Commission which have been examined within the lectures given by the author for the Jean Monnet Module “Transportation Law and Court of Justice of the European Union” (TLCJEU), co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, during the academic years 2018/2019, 2019/2020 and 2020/2021.
