TRANSPORTATION LAW
AND COURT OF JUSTICE OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

PRESENTATION

The Jean Monnet Module “Transportation Law and Court of Justice of the European Union” (TLCJEU) promotes EU studies at “Sapienza” University of Rome - Faculty of Law, in teaching EU Transportation Law and how it has an impact on international level.

The TLCJEU module consists of an innovative and comprehensive treatment of EU Transportation Law through a focused analysis of the judicial activity of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), which is one of principal European institutions involved in the evolution and harmonization of EU Law process.

The TLCJEU module (43 hours, 3-years academic course, 2018-2021) is provided in English within the course of “Transportation Law IUS/06” of the “European Studies” (LM-90) Law Degree Course, Department of Legal Sciences, Faculty of Law, “Sapienza” University of Rome.
The “experimental” approach focused on the continuous evolving CJEU judicial activity will facilitate studies in the ever-changing transport development fields.

The TLCJEU module aims to deliver tailor-made course on specific EU issues relevant to graduates for their future careers.

All the studies will be undertaken in a critical methodology approach where the judicial activity of the Court of Justice of the European Union related to transportation legal issues will be considered, together with their several ensuing effects (economic, legal, social and technological) on the international transport sector.

A top-level educational program will implement new learning tools which include lectures, laboratories, seminars using multi-media documentaries on transport issues, workshops and round table debates open and with free admission to the public, website, e-newsletters and online platforms.
Finally, the proposed module will satisfy the objectives in supporting academic knowledge of key EU legal transportation issues and at the same time provide advanced EU studies in Italy.
